This article will also focus on inequality on a global scale.
There have been many articles in the media with a slant as to socioeconomic issues, and they point out that we Americans, unlike our British counterparts across the pond, do not like to talk about social class all that much, although it very well exists.
There are great disparities in our nation between people that earn certain salaries, people who have differing levels of education, people who are married and have families, and people who have or don't have health conditions. It's a crazy world we live in and it's not likely to get better anytime soon. In fact, there are great inequalities in the world, in our nation, to be exact, but also in the world as a whole. In our nation, the United States of America, the rich are going to get richer and the poor are going to remain poor, if we don't do anything about it. That's the trajectory we are on, and have been on for some time.
Overall, the United States is a pretty rich country, when taken on average. Comparatively to the world, we rank high on citizens' income. But just taken as a whole, we are a very wealthy country. Scientists say that the rich countries, like the rich people in the United States, are going to get richer and the poor are going to remain poor. The rich are going to get rich at the poor's expense. This will only widen the inequality gap because although the poor won't have anything to their name, the rich will have more. The poor will feel worse comparatively. And the poor may in fact also be in worse conditions, because of environmental and overcrowding issues.
There's so much more that I want to say on this topic. But that has been a good start for now. Thank you so much, and I hope you continue reading.
